A Patriot’s Letters To AMERICA

Daniel Harmeson
About the Book
The essence of America that which really unites us, is not ethnicity, or nationality, or religion. It is an idea, and what an idea it is- that you can come from humble circumstances and do great things. That it doesn’t matter where you come from but where you are going.
Condoleeza Rice
“Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country”.
John F. KennedyThese letters to America represent one side of the coin. Belief in small government. Belief in the 8,928 words of the Declaration of Independence, The Constitution and its 27 Amendments. Belief in the Right to pursue happiness. Belief in not relying on big government. Belief in freedoms/ liberties. Belief in America. Hopefully by reading these letters one will begin to, understand a differing value and the great love of this Republic. Or, reinforce that you are not alone in your beliefs. Through understanding, compromise, critical thinking and ownership for our actions, just maybe the great divide can begin to close.
About the Author

Finally, I owe everything to America for giving me and my family the Right to pursue happiness. -

Life Was Perfect…Until!

Lucille M. Griswold
About the Book
Being raised in a small town can be ideal, despite horrible problems around the world. This was especially true in the 1940s and 1950s. Barbara Gelman, Mia Wagner and Colleen O’Connor were proof of this when they became the best of friends despite backgrounds that were completely different. Normal teenagers in every aspect of their lives, they instinctively knew what to tell their parents and when to keep their mouths shut. Tragedy strikes one of the three girls, and everyone’s patience is tried. Will the other girls’ viewpoints help them to stand by their friend? Who will win in the end?About the Author
Lucille started out writing poems and eventually graduated to writing novels. Is God an Obstacle of Science

Ghassan K. Sayegh
About the Book
The backbone of this book is what God asserted in his Holy Bible:
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge» (Hos 4:6), and to offset this fact, the believer should read the Bible so that he/she may sincerely say: «Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my way» (Psa 119:105), since, «The heart of the prudent gets knowledge; and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge» (Pro 18:15). This book proves beyond any shadow of doubt that what scientists harangue with is 100% compatible with the words of the Almighty God.
About the Author
On the outside as much as on the inside, I am a whole person, a one person, a human phenomenon, an individualistic blend and mixture of East and West cultures, in which God’s creative handy-work has manifested in the most artistic and nifty fashion. I am also blessed by being called one of the Living God’s Children in Jesus Christ.
However, «Me, Myself and I» had a lifelong meeting and we unanimously agreed to disagree. Thus, together or separately, we may laugh or cry; we may engage or disengage; we may compete or idle; we may create or destroy. We may seem acting classically and dependently, yet we portray an epicurean, schizoid and schizophrenic triune that continually sways and oscillates, often adopting dimensions of abulia, amentia and amnesia. Together, they confirm my oneness and wholesomeness, yet, separately and alternatively, they subject my world to natural extremes of heaven and hell.
Being a Spirit, Soul and Body, my triune «Me, Myself and I» takes turns in pushing the limits of my creativity by exciting my mind, soul and taste. The arid terrain of my unliterary line of breadwinning work and business is devoid of literary scope and span but properly represents the «Me» of the triune, while the literary world of poetry, prose and sketching are forever exclusively the tenets of «Myself». «Me» and «Myself» are the mirrors through which the «I» shines, and collectively known as: Ghassan K. Sayegh.
All my books, researches, poetry and sketches are published on my huge website: www.gsayeg.com and they are in three languages: Arabic, English & French.

The Princess of Cyres Hill

Pamela McGee Wilkinson
About the Book
Imogen McBride was a princess in the lands of Newton St. Cyres long, long ago. She loved everything about her country and the people who lived there. She roamed the lands daily and discovered beauty and majestic wonders. She loved being a princess. It was her favorite thing to be.
In The Princess of Cyres Hill, Imogen is barely a teen when life was free and unencumbered and daily adventures included frolicking, dancing, swimming, horseback riding and dreaming of days of yore. Join Imogen as she plays and plays and plays on Cyres Hill. She would love to bring you along.About the Author
Pamela’s introduction into writing began in high school when the English class was challenged to write a biography about a member of their class. Class members were asked to call them up and interview them over the phone and collect interesting details about their
childhood, hobbies, etc.
A week after the biographies were turned in, the teacher announced that she was impressed with many of the biographies but one stood out as the best example of capturing the personality of her subject and also utilizing her apparently natural skills as an interviewer. Her
teacher informed her she should consider using her writing skills in the future. As the years followed, Pamela would find many opportunities to use her writing skills; namely; poetry, skits, newsletters, roadshows and writing new lyrics for existing music for plays and talent shows. She also interviewed interesting people in her Memphis, Tennessee community that were published in local newspapers.
She currently lives in the St. George, Utah area. She is the widow of Kenneth M. Wilkinson, mother of three and grandmother of seven. -
Deeptide . . . Vents of Fire

Donald Schwartz
About the Book
This mystery, intrigue, and adventure story may be only a year or two away from real-life events. Two women scientists intend to capture DNA samples of discovered remarkable life forms within vents existing in the deepest ocean depths.
The older and brilliant scientist reflects only on the mission — while the younger, who is both bright and certified blond bombshell, is incessantly seeing every situation in terms of its sexual implications — or sexual potential.
The vents they intend to explore support life forms with a process called chemo-synthesis which lets them input methane and other noxious gases and ultimately output protoplasm. Their captured DNA could be used to transform energy equations across the globe, yielding food from gases now treated as harmful, plus fantastic medical discoveries as well.
But a dark application could also create deadly weapons too. Implications for enormous wealth combined with this dark side bring shadowy terrorists along on the expedition. What follows is intrigue, drama, and intense romances between both women scientists and crew members on their expedition, who may turn out to be the enemy to destroy them.
Deeptide integrates expected greed-driven intrigue with genetics-driven discoveries that may literally be around the corner.

I Fought the Law and I Won

Charles F. Johnson
I was formally a Federal Employee who was discriminated against by my employer. I filed a total of seven (7) EEO grievances against the Federal Government. When the administrative remedies failed, I filed suit in Federal Court.
One of my cases made it all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court. I subsequently won all my cases that turned out to be one of the largest settlements in history. It took me five years to win all my cases. The 2000 Federal Census claims that there are over 146 million employed people in the U.S. and every 3 seconds one of them is discriminated against. I wanted to let these people know what happened to me, and if they are experiencing the same treatment, they have Civil Rights and can fight back.
My CO-workers and even a Federal Judge told me that I should write a book. So I wrote a tell all book in detail on this very serious problem facing the employed people of this country.
This book is a tell all book about what happened to me and how I fought back. The next book will explain just how I legally did it. It took me five years to win, but what I know today; I can help any employee in the United States do it in less than 2 years.

Random Thoughts of a Creative Mind
A Life's Journey of the Creative Process

Sue Hassel
About the Book
RANDOM THOUGHTS OF A CREATIVE MIND is a collection of all of Hassel’s writings that have been submitted literally since grade school to present time, including one short story delivered in a big writing class that scandalized some, left others howling with laughter, and the remainder thinking quietly as they left for home. Her take on life is unique having grown up on a farm doing heavy labor with her father on and around heavy equipment. She is quite a horsewoman, and above all, she would say, “What you see is what you get.” Hassel is also a fine painter (see cover art), and a gifted amateur dancer enpointe and modern.
Sue Hassel grew up on a farm in Wisconsin, attended the UW, Madison, and then went to Europe. Her mother Elenora was a homemaker (who designed and sewed clothes for friends and family). Her father, Carl was an oil trucker for 41 years, a natural horseman and very gifted and humane in handling horses and all animals. Both parents had 8th grade educations. Both of their lives exceeded their educational levels. Sue has an older sister, Beverly, former Professor of piano at UW, Oshkosh, who is the real pianist in the family. Sue considers herself the hotdog pianist. She has to have fun playing piano, i.e. the virtuoso repertoire. www.suehassel.comAbout the Author
Sue Hassel grew up on a farm in the Midwest, sang in Europe professionally, later moved to New York City where she continued her operatic career. Her first reviews after making her debut in Ballo in Maschera in the role of Amelia (singing that role four times in five nights) was raved in all local media, and later raved again in Opera News. After her stint in Europe, in New York City she continued that operatic career singing the leading roles in Tosca, Bellini’s Norma, the Trovatore Leonora, Aida, Queen of the Night, Papagena and Philine. She is also an oratorio soloist. You can see by the repertoire, her voice began to shift upward over a three year period, and she is now a soubrette coloratura soprano having great fun singing in recital as Sue Hassel, Soprano & Piano as well as solo piano recitals featuring the music of Busoni, Liszt, Rachmaninoff and Brahms (her hands are big!). It appears that her career is backward, but she is the most pleased with her voice now. She always just knew she was a coloratura soprano and it just took time.
She enjoys a level of local NYC notoriety having been featured both in the New York Times and Wall Street Journal weekend editions as the ‘Soprano on the 59th Street Bridge’, and last October she was followed around by a videographer who heard about her. In time that segment will air online. There appears to be a bootleg video of her playing and singing, as well as dancing enpointe in a tutu online somewhere. Hassel has not seen it. She has a vague memory of having filmed that in the past. Hassel has been known to say, “New York City is the best place to find your dreams and become. -
The Mind-Body Problem and Its Solution (Second Edition)

Carey R. Carlson
About the Book
OVER THE LAST CENTURY scientists have made tremendous strides in understanding the physical nature of the universe and the biochemical nature of life. Yet the most salient feature of individual lives—our day-to-day consciousness and experience of the world, or “”sentience””—remains stubbornly immune to scientific explanation. This divide is called the “”mind-body problem,”” and it is centuries old. In this book, author Carey Carlson performs two valuable tasks. First, he lays out the mind-body problem in crystalline common-sense prose. Second, he proposes an intriguing solution based on the work of early-twentieth-century philosophers Bertrand Russell and Alfred North Whitehead. This book will be of interest both to general readers of science and philosophy and to those steeped in the literature. The second edition includes additional arrow diagrams in Chapter 5 that fortify Russell and Whitehead’s view of physics as a causal web of time-ordered events.

William Robinson
About the Book
The book portrays the thoughts, feelings and actions of Sally Hemings, a slave living in the household of Thomas Jefferson during her life at Jefferson’s plantation in Virginia and during her time living in Jefferson’s house in Paris. When she arrived in Paris at age 14 she found that French law made her a free person when she arrived and for as long as she lived in France. She then had to decide whether to remain in France as a free person and leave Jefferson or return to Virginia with Jefferson where she would again be his slave. The book explores the rational for her decision to return to Virginia with Jefferson where she bore 7 children fathered by him.
